Sea World 2006
Home Up

For Jakes 7th Birthday we took the family and a couple of the boy's friends to Sea World for the day

The Journey to Atlantis ride was one of their favorites.  It is a combination roller coaster ride and wet log ride.

They boys road the Journey to Atlantis several times over the course of the day and on one time, I took the camera along for the ride and took some shots with the boys sitting right in front of me.

Later in the day, Jake wanted to try out the rocking climbing wall.  He made it all the way to the top, while our neighbor's kid Gabe got in a little bungie airtime next to the wall.

No no trip to Sea World would be complete without seeing the Shamu show.  We were not disappointed as we had really good seats down front in the "Soak Zone".  In most of these pictures you can see the back the Will and Jake's heads.

The boys spent some time at the dolphin pools where that got to touch some bottlenose dolphins.

They also spent close to an hour at the Ray pools where that got to touch lots rays.  There skin is very soft with a little bit of a slimy fell it.  There were hundreds of the rays in the pool so you were touch one or two every minute.

Here are some picture of some of the flamingos around the park.

Near the end of the day, the boys when on the wettest ride on the park and got absolutely drenched.  It was getting late in the day and starting to cool off so a bunch of wet and cold rats was a good way to ease them out of the park. :)
